Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya

Om Sri Paramatman Namah

DEDICATED YOGA (XII)

Summary of the Twelve Speech:

The twelfth talk shows that the way to devotion is simpler than the way of knowledge. In this way the promoter serves God through His Supreme Personality Form. You build a loving relationship with Him, you love Him, you remember Him and you sing His glory and name. In this way he makes himself one with the Lord and not only discovers His impersonal nature but also with the Lord as a visible being.

The path of knowledge, in which the aspirant thinks of the unblemished Brahman, is as difficult as he has to discard his attachment from the body from the beginning. He should be interested in the things of the world.

How can you make a commitment? Krishna asks Arjuna to focus his attention on Him. Whenever the mind wanders it should be returned to the Lord. When this process of torment is difficult He must give all His actions to Him, feeling that by His power He makes everything work. If this is too much for him, he must give all his actions to the Lord, leaving the desire for their fruit. He should be completely safe in Him. One who is dedicated to the Lord finds complete peace.

The Lord goes on to describe the qualities of a truly devoted person. He doesn't stick to anything and he doesn't care about things. He has a balanced mind under all circumstances. He is not distracted by world events, and he does not cause any disturbance. She has no desire at all and she is happy in the Lord inside. He sees equality everywhere, untouched by grief, fear, fame and disrespect. He is completely satisfied as he has devoted his whole life to the Lord.
